Where to begin? Being a football fan is tough, not just when your team loses but also when the players you love and idolize let you down. I’ve had my heart broken quite a few times these past couple of months thanks to certain players (looking at you Cesc) but my biggest disappointment was prolly the day Fernando Torres betrayed Liverpool.

On 31st January 2011 (last day of the transfer window) I spent most of the day watching Sky Sports News cover the imminent transfers waiting to happen, in anguish I prayed and hoped and willed in desperation that come night Nando would still be a Red. But by 11pm he had joined the Blues and me? I was a trembling teary mess. :’-(

My absolute respect and adoration was what made the betrayal so hard to take, he had hurt me exactly where it hurt most. Nando broke my heart that day but it didn’t end there. Not only had he deserted us in the middle of the season when we were really up against it, he went to Chelsea and started saying all this infuriating stuff about Liverpool, the bloody cheek! At first I was only sad and upset but when I heard those things the sorrow morphed into furious anger. After that every goalless appearance was hilarious. From the “I’ve scored as many goals for Chelsea as Torres” to the hastorresscoredforchelsea website. The jokes just never got old.

More than a year has passed. I’ve been through heartbreak, anger, bitterness and much more. But time is kind healer and now I can honestly say that I’m over it and I wish him well again. It’s hard to take seeing him struggle like this because once upon a time he was a magnificent player and it’s a shame for him to fade away. I hope soon he will be back to scoring his tremendous goals and we can take pleasure again in seeing the Torres of legend :’)

And finally I just need to add that football aside, this man is beyond sexy! Who cares about club loyalty when you look like this?! ;D All you need are fangirls! XD <3<3<3

Our rivals are worthy of being our opponents because they also have great players. ;-)

This is a ridiculously hard one and there’s no way I’ll be able to reach any sort of conclusion even if I sit here and consider all my fav striker for the next 12 hours so I’m just gonna chose the first name that pops into my head and that name is..*drumroll* *ding ding ding!*

Not so easy this one. There are some good contenders, Arsene Wenger, Jose Mourinho, Mick McCarthy…

But I think I’m going to settle for Ian Holloway. I haven’t seen much of him on TV since Blackpool got relegated last season but boy, he was such a legend in his interviews! A fine manager but also a fine comedian! XD

I certainly hope to be seeing more of him next season, Blackpool for promotion! ;-)

Haha another easy one, it’s the England NT of course!

Yes we’re “the underachievers” and we haven’t won anything since 1966 but I love my country and I will support it’s team till the dying seconds of stoppage time. :’-D

This is a really hard one. How can I just name a club? I’m fond of quite a few! On some days I might feel like my life is nothing without Real Madrid and on some days I might feel like Man City make the world go round. Heck on some days I might be feeling crazy and thinking Blackpool and Ian Holloway were the best things about the entire 2010/2011 campaign! XD

Damn! this is hard!!! Okokok I’ll just say Real Madrid for today cause I just seen Ronaldo post a pic of himself and Ramos on his twitter and it was adorkable. >.<

I’m sorry City, if it was a Saturday or Sunday I would totally pick you because you’re the first thing I think about when I wake up on football weekends. :’(

Haha this is an easy one. It’s the Premier League of course! ;-)

Every now and again I check up on how things are going in La Liga, Bundesliga and Serie A, but more than any of those wonderful leagues it’s the Premier League that pulls my heartstrings. <3

Captain Tsubasa.

I used to watch this show when I was about 4 years old, Tsuba (that was his nickname) was my hero! I absolutely believed and respected every word he said. Every time he would jump up into the air and score an impossible goal, I would have stars in my eyes!

I still remember my child self annoying my mum once waiting for this show to come on. The show wasn’t due for 2 hours yet and I remember sitting on the carpet staring up at the clock “Mum! When will Tsuba start??” “When that big clock hand has gone round twice.” …2 minutes later I turn on the TV. “Mum it’s not on!!!” “The other clock hand!” I think I waited a few more minutes and then got bored and wandered off to do something else. XD

Captain Tsubasa is prolly the earliest influence that turned me into football maniac I am today.

But one of the most surprising things was this; I found out just last year later that this show inspired Fernando Torres too, to become a pro footballer!
